Consequently, for smaller‑diameter welded pipes, straight‑seam welding is typically preferred, while large‑diameter welded pipes are mainly produced using double‑sided submerged‑arc welded spiral seams.

Fabrication of spiral pipes offers greater dimensional consistency in both outer diameter and wall thickness, particularly when producing high‑grade thick‑walled steel pipes—especially medium‑diameter, thin‑walled variants—providing advantages unmatched by other manufacturing processes and enabling compliance with a wider range of customer‑specified pipe dimensions.

  b. By employing state-of-the-art double-sided submerged arc welding, welds can be completed in a single pass, minimizing defects such as misalignment, weld misplacement, and incomplete penetration, and enabling highly reliable control of weld quality.

  c. Conduct 100% quality inspections on pipe materials, ensuring that the entire steel pipe manufacturing process is subject to rigorous inspection and oversight, thereby efficiently guaranteeing product quality.

  d. All machinery and equipment on the continuous production line are equipped with network connectivity to the computerized data management system, enabling real-time data transmission and centralized monitoring of process performance parameters from the central control room.

  Proper storage and handling of spiral pipes:

  In the storage warehouse for spiral pipes, outdoor storage is unnecessary. It is essential to maintain a clean and orderly environment, with adequate drainage facilities. If weeds or other debris are present on the floor, they must be thoroughly removed before storage. This practice helps keep the spiral pipes free from contamination; corrosive substances can cause pitting corrosion, and exposure to acids, alkalis, salts, and similar materials can also lead to localized corrosion. Therefore, proper protective measures must be taken to prevent such contact. During storage, careful sorting and organization are also crucial to avoid operational inconveniences. In addition, regular maintenance is required: if rust is detected, affected items should be promptly removed, and the root cause of the corrosion should be identified and addressed to prevent further damage to other spiral pipes.
